Description
The Certified First Responder course is the Department of
Transportation (DOT) program for an non-transport emergency
worker. The program is intended to provide the skills
necessary to provide basic assessment, life support and
stabilization to sick and injured patients. The program
includes basic ethics and legalities, professional level CPR,
patient assessment, bleeding control and shock management, medical
emergency management, emergency childbirth, triage, and basic EMS
operations.

Public safety personnel such as police officers and fire fighters,
camp counselors, life guards, and corporate / industrial safety
employees.
