Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation courses (CPR) are a routine service at Less Stress Instructional Services.  We run resuscitation programs of this kind on a daily basis for healthcare facilities, corporations, and other target groups. Less Stress Instructional Services is a superior choice for this type of training because:

Staff - Most hospitals or freelancers send off duty clinical staff to teach courses. Many have little to no teaching experience, leading to dull and slow courses. Less Stress' staff made up of emergency medical workers who are professional instructors. When you call, you are assured not only accurate information but also a first-rate presentation.

Equipment - The main barriers to learning in a CPR class are boredom from waiting for a turn on a manikin, and students being apprehensive about breathing into a manikin used by another person. With Less Stress, participants enjoy low student-manikin ratios (often 1:1). Less Stress also assigns each student their own plastic disposable breathing lung so students can concentrate on learning and refining skills without concerns about manikin cleanliness.

Quality - We pride ourselves in our programs.  We use high-quality digital slide shows, cutting edge video, and other sophisticated presentations.  CPR is a skill that requires practice and comfort - we will not rush students through a course like some of the "One Hour CPR Class" outfits you will find on the internet.  Our students are assured the opportunity to practice skills until they are comfortable with the techniques that are necessary to save a life.  We also support the continued learning of our students with custom software and internet simulations.

Experience and Skill - While we routinely handle local programs for small companies, we specialize in corporate multi-state programs.  If you are a looking to arrange training for multiple sites in various US regions, we can provide consistent service  with one point of contact.  We can also provide emergency care equipment such as oxygen systems and defibrillators and associated maintenance for all of your sites across the US. 

First- in-Class Data Management - Our sophisticated data management process takes your course records and makes them viewable at any time by logging into the client area of our website.  This allows you to print course rosters and track program participation any time, day or night.  You can also see programs scheduled in the future to confirm times, dates, locations, etc.

CPR programs are generally divided into two categories:

Community CPR/Heartsaver Programs
These programs are geared towards training effective responders in non-healthcare settings.  They are appropriate for corporate and community AED programs, daycare providers, security staff, or for OSHA compliance purposes.

Community CPR / Heartsaver Course Options:

Adult/Child CPR
Chest Compressions, rescue breathing, and relief of choking for patients age 1 and above.
2 hours -- Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 when combined with First Aid --

Adult/Child/Infant CPR
Chest Compressions, rescue breathing, and relief of choking for patients of all ages
2.5-3 hours -- Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 when combined with First Aid --

Adult/Child CPR/AED
Chest Compressions, rescue breathing, and relief of choking for patients age 1 and above.  Also trains in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) -
3 hours -- Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 when combined with First Aid -- Complies with state AED laws --

Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED
Chest Compressions, rescue breathing, and relief of choking for patients of all ages.  Also trains in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
3.5-4 hours -- Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 when combined with First Aid -- Complies with state AED laws --

When groups for OSHA compliance (the "Access to Medical Care" standard, 29 CFR 1910.151), first aid topics must also be covered.  As a result, we offer a program that combines the basics of first aid and CPR:

Adult/Child CPR & Basic First Aid
Chest Compressions, rescue breathing, and relief of choking for patients age 1 and above.  Also includes detailed management of basic injuries such as broken bones, bleeding, and burns, and medical emergencies such as diabetes, seizures, and heart attack.
4 hours -- Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 --

Adult/Child/Infant CPR & Basic First Aid
Chest Compressions, rescue breathing, and relief of choking for patients of all ages.  Also includes detailed management of basic injuries such as broken bones, bleeding, and burns, and medical emergencies such as diabetes, seizures, and heart attack.
4.5 - 5 hours -- Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151  --

Adult/Child CPR/AED & Basic First Aid
Chest Compressions, rescue breathing, and relief of choking for patients age 1 and above.  Also trains in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).  Also includes detailed management of basic injuries such as broken bones, bleeding, and burns, and medical emergencies such as diabetes, seizures, and heart attack.
5 hours -- Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151  -- Complies with state AED laws --

Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED & First Aid
Chest Compressions, rescue breathing, and relief of choking for patients of all ages.  Also trains in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).  Also includes detailed management of basic injuries such as broken bones, bleeding, and burns, and medical emergencies such as diabetes, seizures, and heart attack.
5.5 - 6 hours -- Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 -- Complies with state AED laws --

Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer Programs
These programs are geared towards healthcare workers, such as nurses, physicians, EMT's, paramedics, therapists, and other individuals who may have primary public safety duties such as police officers, firefighters, and lifeguards.

This program represents the industry standard CPR course for healthcare settings, and is a vital prerequisite to many healthcare education programs.  As a result, we recommend it for use by nursing students, EMT students, medical students, and other health career students.

BLS for Healthcare Providers
Professional level protocols for chest compressions, rescue breathing, and relief of choking for patients of all ages.  Also trains in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and a Bag-Valve-Mask (BVM) device.  Additional skills such as CPR with an advanced airway and cricoid pressure are also discussed.
4.5 hours -- Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 when combined with First Aid -- Complies with state AED laws -- Complies with educational and licensing prerequisites for most health careers

BLS for Healthcare Providers Renewal
This is the abbreviated refresher course for individuals who have current BLS for Healthcare Providers cards, and need to renew their credentials.
3 hours -- Complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 when combined with First Aid -- Complies with state AED laws -- Complies with educational and licensing prerequisites for most health careers
