Sample Programs and their Cost

An important consideration of any AED program is the scope of the effort.  We generally group this type of project into Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Programs and Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) Programs.

Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Programs

This project is generally targeted to assisting a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.  When an individual collapses suddenly, they need to be quickly attended to with CPR and and AED.  This program consists of:

• Acquiring an AED and any related accessories
• Medical Direction and/or prescription
• CPR/AED training, generally about 3-4 hours long
• This program is easy to implement, and can generally be accomplished with minimal impact on a budget or schedule.  It will comply with local AED laws, and is a fine effort for the average workplace.
