	EMT-Basic Course We hold an EMT-Basic course at the Westfield Rescue Squad in Union County three times per year. The course consists of the 120 hour Department of Transportation (DOT) program and those who successfully complete the program are eligible to sit for the NREMT-Basic examination for National and NJ state certification. 	EMT-Basic Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Courses One of our strongest programs is the EMT continuing education program. We have a large variety of sessions for EMT-Basics ranging from short ‘drill night’ sessions to comprehensive several day programs such as CORE 13 EMT Refresher. We are available to run these programs at your organization at your meeting times to promote easy recertification of your EMT-Basics. For Volunteer agencies, we can often run the programs at no cost through EMT Training Fund for small student minimums. We currently run monthly continuing education for over a dozen BLS agencies. Our courses are highly interactive with digital slideshows and video. 	Instructor Training We offer instructor programs in the following disciplines: BLS Instructor is the American Heart Association program that credentials individuals to teach CPR/AED to lay rescuers and healthcare professionals. It is commonly taken by EMS providers to provide a practical way to update CPR credentials of members of an organization. * LSIS BLS Instructors can use the EMT Training Fund to defer the cost of certification of their eligible trainees so that they do not have to pay card-processing fees. We also accept transfers from other CPR training centers * BBP Instructor is an administrator-level training program in OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens standard (29 CFR 1910.1030 – a mandatory requirement for EMS, Fire, and Police agencies). This program certifies the individual to run the American Safety & Health Institute’s (ASHI) Bloodborne Pathogens program. Hazard Communication Train-the-Trainer is an administrator-level training program in OSHA’s Hazard Communication standard (29 CFR 1910.1200 – a mandatory requirement for EMS, Fire, and Police agencies). This program certifies the individual to run the American Safety & Health Institute’s (ASHI) HazCom program.
