Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) Programs
This project is a more global program designed to prepare individuals to respond to more varied emergencies than just sudden cardiac arrest. MERT participants are trained and equipped to attend to physical injuries, medical emergencies such as diabetes and seizures, and other forms of sudden health problems. This program is also very easy to implement, and represents only a modest additional expense from the above AED program. It will comply with local AED laws, and with OSHA's standards on Bloodborne Pathogens (29 CFR 1910.1030) and Access to Medical Care (29 CFR 1910.151).
