Automated External Defibrillation

Most states have local regulations about the use of an AED in a non-clinical setting. While laws vary somewhat, there are a few elements of AED regulation that are common to almost all states:

Interpretation: AED programs have been facilitated by state legislators over the last 2 years. This type of program has been endorced by the American Heart Association, and currently the only legal precedents involve the lack of an AED. There is currently no known legal precedent for using/misuse of an AED.
